It’s only the beginning of February and we are trying our best to beat the February blahs, brave the Polar Vortex and find the positive in our Canadian winter. As we layer on our cozy knits, furs and winter boots the bright side is that Spring, depending on what the groundhog says, is just around the corner! We thought we would tease you with a sneak peek of some designers that will be new to Milli this Spring.

Dries Van Noten

Originally from Belgium, Dries Van Noten is described as one of the “most celebrated fashion designers” by the New York Times. He pushes the boundaries when it comes to ready-to-wear fashion. His Spring 2019 collection is comprised of beautifully hand painted silks, paillettes, patterns and bright colours. Our Fashion Director Pam Cook is very excited to welcome Dries Van Noten to our spring curation of product. His use of prints, embellishments, and his international sense of style elevate the female body. One of her favourite pieces is the bright green and black patterned pencil skirt. The material effortlessly falls onto the body highlighting a woman’s beautiful curves. According to Pam “it’s so artistically posh, modern and understated all at the same time!”

MPD Box

New to the European fashion circuit, MPD Box is a uniquely crafted brand that combines old with new. From Veneto, Italy, MPD Box adds their own flare to vintage pieces. What to expect…jackets! From blazers that are tailored with unexpected embroidery to vintage army jackets with whimsical hand stitched embellishment, these pieces our effortlessly cool and chic.

Sara Battaglia

There’s nothing more fabulous than Italian leather. Sara Battaglia is known for her one-of-a-kind shapes and use of bold colours, and lush leathers. Her Spring collection is filled with glamour, early sixties flare, and tailored designs. Pam loves her on trend bucket bags and sleek clutches, as they can be worn easily from day to evening! Excited about the entire collection, Pam praises Battaglia’s use of bright colours and mixture of soft and hard leathers, as they offer a great hint of European style to your closet!
