For over five decades Milli Gould has helped women look and feel their best through fashion at her eponymous store. From 1964, it has been a style destination “for the elegant female”, as stated in bold yet delicate graphics on the original Hamilton storefront facade. This perfect mix of bold and delicate describes Milli herself–a strong woman with a keen eye for little, often overlooked details. A woman who can make any ordinary outfit extraordinary with the blusson of a blouse or the sweep of a scarf. From serving clients lunches of finger sandwiches and champagne during hours-long shopping visits, to orchestrating personal at-home deliveries, to having the most basic staple items tailored to a tee, Milli’s passion for going above and beyond is what has helped her business thrive. To so many, yesterday and today, Milli is more than just a stylist.

It’s with great excitement that the Gould family establishes The Milli Archive–a textured historical collection of Milli anecdotes and artifacts!

Over the past few months, loyal clients and friends like you have helped us gather fond fashion memories for the Archive, and we know there are more out there… We invite you to be a part of the Archive by sharing your stories in-store, on our website by commenting here, or on social media by hashtagging #MilliMoments with your posts, and by celebrating with us!

Join us on Thursday November 10th in Toronto and/or on Wednesday November 16th in Hamilton to tell us about your Milli moments, and mix and mingle with generations of inspiring Milli women (event details below)! Together we’ll take a trip through decades of sequins, elbow pads, taffeta gowns, and more. We’ll muse on how some trends have come full circle, but that Milli’s effortless style will always remain.
