We blinked and summer is over!  Kids are back to school, the air has a slight chill and our calendars are starting to fill up.  This September Milli is excited to be participating in a couple of fantastic community events.   We also have an exciting in-store event for you to save the date for! So get your calendars out …

Kaylas’s Children Centre Fashion Show

Kayla’s Children Centre (KCC) will be hosting their annual charity fashion show at the Royal Ontario Museum on Thursday September 5th.  We are honoured to be showcasing fall runway looks from our favourite Canadian designers: Lucian Matis, Greta Constantine, Catherine Regehr, Marie Saint Pierre and Smythe in support of this cause.

KCC was founded in 2017, as a result of the merger of two organizations, Zareinu Educational Center of Metropolitan Toronto (founded in 1989) and Project AIM Programs (founded in 2007). The organizations shared the same desire to empower children with special needs to develop life enhancing skills. Recognizing their similarities Zareinu and Project AIM  came together to create a community and agency to service children and their families, now known as KCC.

Supercrawl is celebrating its 10th anniversary from Friday September 13th – 15th  and is worth the drive to Hamilton (or a visit If you’re a local!) The event was borne out of a monthly art crawl and has now evolved into an annual event that attracts hundreds of thousands of people over the course of the weekend.  This multi-arts festival fuses music, art, fashion, performance, literature, theatre and artisanal craft.  The schedule is jam packed and chock-full of programming for all – even families with children!

In partnership with The Art Gallery of Hamilton, Milli will be offering a day of fashion fun programming in the Family Zone inspired by the exhibition Milli: A Celebration of Style.  Try your hand at fashion drawing led by Hamilton native and celebrated artist – John Coburn, or play dress up with paper dolls. Check out the schedule for further information on  dates, times and location: https://supercrawl.ca/
